Lee's Summit High School is very diverse. We have lots of options for classes to take and a variety of different learning spaces. I have encountered many problems with getting classes I sign up for, however, that has shown to be a blessing in disguise. The school is very interested in student safety but has been taking funds away from other areas to add unnecessary safety protocols.

My opinion, if you're of color they dont treat you the same. I didnt have chances and was often kicked out and rejected from this school. I didnt have to do much to be discriminated against. Some of the same things my peers did, I would get written up and sent out for. I had some hateful teachers that simply did not care. Outside of that, college readiness was non existent. I wasnt prepared at all. They dont care to help my race.

I think that it is a great school, comparitavely. I would love to see some issues fixed, such as a substance issue with many of the students. Some other things I might've changed would be the school culture and make it feel more friendly. Overall, they have good programs and good help on hand.

Teachers go above and beyond in helping students be successful. All teachers are available before or after schools on many days if the student seeks help.Science labs are outstanding and challenging at the advanced level. Open lab times are available.
