Established in 2000, LePort Montessori Huntington Harbor is a Montessori school serving children from the age of 12 weeks through sixth grade. Located at 16081 Waikiki Ln., in Huntington Beach, the school enrolls approximately 150 students. The Montessori method was developed by Dr. Maria Montessori in the early 1900s and focuses on working with kids in a way that supports healthy independence. LePort Montessori Huntington Harbor features several programs including an infant program for children from the age of 3 to 18 months offering a nurturing environment and age-appropriate activities. The toddler program is for children ages two to three years old and helps them learn good habits, strengthen language and explore independence in a safe environment. Children ages 3 to 6 participate in the preschool/kindergarten program and are provided an opportunity to stay with the same teaching staff for the duration of the program while learning living and independence skills, science, language and math. Elementary school students have an opportunity to experience low student-teacher ratios and expand skills in language arts, science and math. The school also offers a Spanish and Mandarin Immersion Program to preschool age children with the goal of becoming fluent in a second language by kindergarten.

We absolutely love this school and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants their child to be able to take care of them selves and be prepared for real life. The academic part is amazing too, my daughter is way above her public school 3rd grade friends in reading, math, and writing.
