I loved the multiple AP classes available. I also love the amazing teachers that are available. Every single one of them care about the students and want to see the students succeed.

Freshman year was probably my only good year here at Henry Clay. Once COVID-19 hit, everything took a turn and it just felt like everything changed drastically. I don't feel like I'm learning enough and when I struggled academically and mentally in my junior year, I had barely any help from my teachers. As a senior, I look back on my past few years at Henry Clay and how it changed from me being so excited to go to school, to absolutely dreading it. I have never felt so excited to be able to leave a place for good because that is how badly this school has left a negative mark on me. I don't feel like my education is as good and thorough as it use to be.

It needs major refurbishments. The metal detectors are a pain. However, the teachers are good and I do learn.

This school didn't help me at all to learn what I needed. They only taught me how to suppress ideas and to keep quiet. Most of the administrative staff abuse their power to go after lower income kids and teachers encourage fights. Do not let your child go here.

Wonderful teachers who actually teach. My daughter was in a different Lexington High School last year and was body slammed and the principal never did anything. Absolutely love Henry Clay. HC IS A MUCH BETTER SCHOOL!!
