East Texas Charter is more than just a normal high school; everyone here is family. Teachers care for their students and value each child's education. Students participate in life skills and lead helping hands often. There is no can'ts, but all cans. The administration is helpful and kind to their students. Anyone struggling with normal high school is welcomed open arms at Charter. The school is clean and cared for by the students at Charter.

It is an absolute amazing school. There is a no phone policy allowing the students to stay focused on the teacher and their work. The teachers go above and beyond to make sure their students are very successful in their schoolwork and get them ready for the real world. The atmosphere is great and the staff really cares about each and every student as an individual. I have been attending almost my entire high school career and the superintendent is so kind and helpful. He is willing to do what ever he needs to do in order to ensure the students can learn in a safe environment. A year ago we had a student who lost not only his house but his grandmother and almost his grandfather in a horrific fire. Our superintendent set up a donation box so that anyone who wanted to donate money or clothes to the young man could. East Texas Charter will welcome everyone with open arms. They make sure no one is left behind. I can honestly say that I don't want anything to change.

I have went from failing and Cs, to having straight As and Bs, because the teachers really care and interact with the students. I feel like I'm in a safe and protected environment. I love this school, because I'm only surrounded by people who care about school, and how they are going to succeed in life.
