Los Alamitos is a school with strong support from the community and a extremely well rounded program. There is something for everyone that wants to be involved. I was in the show choir every year. We traveled to Nashville and were national champions. Strong academics, great support, lots of activities, and clubs make Los Alamitos a wonderful place to go to High School.

Los Al was honestly a really wonderful experience for me. It was my first time ever being in a public school, having gone to a K-8 before. I've met some of my best friends and favorite teachers ever here. Lots of the staff seem to have a genuine love for what they do. There's lots of opportunity to pursue what you're interested in or passionate about, whether it be filming, press, theater, sports. From the school run extracurriculars to the student run clubs, there's something for everyone.

My wife and I are both Los Al grads and we have both a freshman and senior attending there now. Since I have very little exposure to other schools, it’s difficult to compare Los Al to them. But here’s what I do know…The Academics are hard to beat in this area, especially for a public school. Just li...

They provide an amazing variety of curriculum choices for academics (math, science, technical, foreign language), as well as the arts (choir, music, drama, dance, visual arts) and sports. Many of the programs and activities are nationally ranked if not multiple year national champions. One of just a...

The focus of LAHS is preparation for college entry, and it does a fantastic job at doing so. Students do quite well in a good learning environment. However, the availability of art and music programs is lacking. Athletic programs are not a priority although the opportunities are there

My daughter goes there and now if you want to take the PSAT the school will pay for it! Making it way easier. Their sports program is AMAZING. Los alamitos gets...
