It's overall a pretty good school. I have never felt unsafe on campus. The administration have mad some strange decisions but nothing too awful.

Overall my high school years were pretty enjoyable. The main reasons being my friends, extracurriculars, and certain electives. The actual academic classes were simply just boring since I wasn't interested in a lot of the topics. What I would want to see is more people interacting with each other rather than everyone trying to get a good grade for college.

Los Alamitos high school offers many opportunities. There are many AP classes that are available so anyone can find an advanced class that fits their goals. The teachers are great, on average, they are very knowledgeable and nice. One thing that I would want changed is the parking lot because it takes almost 20 minutes to get outside of the school.

They provide an amazing variety of curriculum choices for academics (math, science, technical, foreign language), as well as the arts (choir, music, drama, dance, visual arts) and sports. The focus of LAHS is preparation for college entry, and it does a fantastic job at doing so. Students do quite well in a good learning environment. However, the availability of art and music programs is lacking. Athletic programs are not a priority although the opportunities are there

I graduated from this school and honestly if you just pay attention and do your best, los alamitos will get youa straight way into college.
