The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
The Test Score Rating reflects annual state test results for this school compared with scores statewide.

The teachers and counselors really do care about the students. They always insist that I can do better and give me feedback on what I do right and wrong. The best aspect, in my opinion, is their patience. They take time out of their day to ensure that I do something whether it is college applications or FAFSA.

My overall experience with East Los Angeles Renaissance Academy was very positive due to the staff and most importantly the people that surrounded me. The environment was one that pushed me to succeed and the community that surrounded the students promoted and motivated hispanic kids to be the first generation college students of their family. The teachers interacted with students in a friendly manner and treated us with the upmost respect. These teachers core values were to help us succeed in whatever we may take interest in. They gave valuable feedback and were very open and nonjudgmental to new ideas or thoughts. The school is one I feel proud to have graduated from and will come to visit in the future when it is safe to do so.

In this school you get more one to one attention from the teachers, and at the same time get to know more of your peers. Academic classes...
