The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Nice school and probably best in the area considering the competition. I wish it had more invested in its arts programs or more teachers allocated to it rather than the couple when I was there.

I liked all of the variety of activities that we had. There was always an activity to meet your interest even if you were not an athlete so you could easily find peers with the same Interest and personalities. Since it was a smaller town, teachers knew who you were and were more apt to help you. Some of the teachers seemed to have burn out and had a dismissive attitude towards the kids.

Loudon is small enough to feel like a community, yet large enough to have some pretty outstanding academic and extracurricular programs. Academics are well rounded with teachers that care and the athletic programs are excellent, competing and excelling in most every endeavor. You would be hard-press...

My school is pretty diverse. It's like any other high school; however, in this high school there are a wide variety of people, from the girly girls to the jocks to the country boys, everyone has a group they fit in with. There are a large variety of sports and clubs to join, from football to soccer...

Bullying is a major problem and school meals are a total joke. There are a handful of caring teachers there, but for the most part, it doesn't even begin to get a passing grade from me.

Loudon High School is a very poor school, maybe mediocre at best. Most of the teachers do not care much about their students education as they are in keeping their job, or the latest episode of high school drama. The classes are unbelievably easy, and not challenging at all. The curriculum does not...
