GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Meyzeek isn't average, but its not exactly as great people praise it to be. Sure, the environment there is excellent, and there are so many programs that aren't offered in other middle schools But, the quality of the school sucks in general. Teachers aren't that good. Food sucks here. SERIOUSLY, FOOD in the cafeteria here can get you food poisoning. A few times I have felt a little unsafe because of the area around the school.

Everything about the school was just average. The teachers weren't great, you don't really learn anything, and the food is absolutely terrible. I would advise you to stay away from cafeteria food if you don't want food poisoning.

It definitely prepared me for High School and had great teachers, but unfortunately the area it is in is extremely inconvenient and there were times I felt unsafe.

It's fine, but it could definitely use more than a Fall Carnival every now and then for families. There's way too many kids who don't follow the expectations and get bad grades, bringing its average down. Due to Iit being in an area in Downtown that is pretty far from a lot of students and has a lot...

I'm only in the first day 7th grade so this opinion might well change, but I'll say it anyway. My 6th grade teachers were absolutely phenomenal and I would definitely take it again (21-22 class, in the Explorers team) given the chance. I cannot stress enough how great the teachers were. I wish Meyze...

Great school...if your child does not have special needs of any kind. Otherwise, don't expect them to honor any accommodations on the child's IEP without a constant struggle. It's not that they will not SAY they will honor them. It's just never put into practice. Also, if your child's different, exp...
