We had children at Washington for 8 years. The teachers have been great. For the vast majority of them, when our kids had trouble with classwork or social/emotional situations, they helped us come up with a plan to move through. The reading program is amazing. Terribly disappointing. There is shocking rudeness from the reception desk right up to the principal and the building is woefully ancient, cluttered and grimy.

The staff here really take the time to get to know the students. Not just the teachers, but the cooks, janitors, and the office staff as well. It is really nice to see them taking an interest in the students lives.

My daughter has spent 2 years at Washington Elementary and we have been very happy with the school! The teacher's that she has had have been fabulous, I can't speak for the other teachers since I do not know but so far so good! I also seen the principal playing hopscotch one morning with some kids!...
