GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Despite Maple Shade being a small, suburban town, this school has a history of being extremely problematic. Between inclusivity issues, a lack of support for disabilities, inappropriate teachers, etc. Maple Shade High School needs a lot of work done.

Maple Shade High School is very interactive there are multiple things to do when in high school however MSHS is very much a school where you will not fit in if you do not participate in things. My experience personally is very enjoyable because I help out with multiple things and involve myself in multiple activities. There is of course annoying drama that regular teenagers go through but it is very important that you stay on track. When you are in high school people think that making friends is most important but your grades are what matters and being involved also helps everyone feel like they matter. Not to mention that everyone can be included and disclosing others or going out your way to make another person feel like they can not be comfortable at school is not you being a good person. Because I involve myself and try to have others involved I feel like my high school experience has been amazing going into senior year I just hope that I am able to continue enjoying my last year.

Maple Shade High School has given me the materials and support I need to prepare myself for college. I took the opportunity to take an SAT readiness class and the counselors work vigorously to get students on task with college readiness.

Excellent... Excellent... Excellent. We had moved a lot and my children had attended many different schools in other communities. MSHS by far is the BEST!

Maple Shade High School may be a small school, but it a small school with a big heart. The teachers, administration and support staff are genuinely caring and dedicated to the students, school and community. I have children that have already graduated and one that is a senior this year. My graduates...

Remind me again why I'm paying this much taxes to live in a town whose public schools are rated only slightly above Philadelphia's?

I graduated from Maple Shade High School in 2006 and I really enjoyed my experience at the school. The teachers were friendly and helpful. The average graduating class in the school is anywhere from 150-200 people. If you enjoy living in a small town, Maple Shade is definitely a good place.
