The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
The Test Score Rating reflects annual state test results for this school compared with scores statewide.

The best parts of Mariposa County High School would include the vast majority of class electives to choose from, as well as the many after school clubs and activities. The teachers all have unique ways of teaching and many of the them are very kind and considerate.

Mariposa County High school was the best 4 years of my life. Not only did it get me into my dream school but it also gave me friends and teachers who I now consider family. Although it may not be the most "top rated" high school MCHS will provide you with adults and students who will have your back and help you achieve your goals no matter what!!!

MCHS is a great school with some great teachers and programs. It has a safe and loving small town atmosphere but, it lacks in providing programs that larger schools can. I truly believe that all teachers care about every student and the town cultivates an environment that can allow all students to grow if the students are willing themselves.
I graduated from MCHS in the class of 2017. I would say that I had a good overall experience.
