As a student at Carmel Christian from pre-school through senior year, Carmel does an excellent job creating an academically challenging yet fun atmosphere. The teachers at Carmel give exceptional effort and are gifted at teaching. Carmel's staff provides a safe place for students where Christ is centered in all aspects of academics, athletics, and activities.

Carmel has great academics and sports. The social aspect is okay and they could use more support with the theatre program.

For middle school on up, we don't recommend this school. It's going to be like most other schools, so don't think that somehow Christianity changes anything about human nature or kids' behavior, it just means a smaller environment where everything is more magnified. Wow… reading through these recent posts gives me PTSD! As outsiders, we experienced this a few years ago at the Middle School. Avoid the Middle & High Schools if you can! There's a Cold Cruelty to their brand of Conformity, and their standards are applied unfairly mostly to new joiners.

The K-5 program is great and highly recommended. Please look elsewhere, though, if you plan to join mid-stream. It's when we move to MS & HS that we struggle to retain newcomers and especially boys. Admin has 'zero tolerance' policy inconsistently applied. The MS lost 20% of boys and it continues...
