GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I have gotten the opportunity to go to McClave School for three years. I started attending McClave after my freshman year. Before I moved I was attending Wiley High School. I always thought that I would graduate in Wiley but that changed my eighth grade year to freshman year. I started to hate school because of bullies. I went from that happy girl everyone loved to the girl who didn't wanna live anymore. I sat down with my parents and said "I think it's time to start looking at options''. Those words broke my parents. Not every parent wants to hear that they don't like the school because of bullies but mine did.On the first day of my sophomore year I showed up in McClave ready for a fresh start. As the years went on I learned to love my school but mostly love my class. I finally had that one thing I had always wanted: a second family. In reality there's not much I would change about McClave School. One thing I would love to see happen at McClave School is the continuation of success.

We as student athletes care a lot about our sports, we push and work hard to do our best. Our school has a lot of fan support. Every game, the gym is packed with fans dressed in their red and white. Cheering us on as loud as possible. When we have to travel to other schools to play, our fans are always there with us.

McClave is great I live in Lamar and go to McClave high school. I refuse to go anywhere else; I love the build of the school and the teachers. I really enjoy being there.
