East High School has numerous opportunities for students to begin studying their fields of interests. As a senior, I have been involved in the aviation program, and soloed my first flight this summer. Thanks to the rigorous engagement my teacher has provided, I am prepared to enter college working towards becoming a professional pilot.

The best part of the school are definitely the teachers. You can tell they care about students and their future and are passionate about their jobs. The worst is the administration itself. Many good teachers leave even after being here for a long time because the administration makes stressful to be a teacher due to such a lack of communication. There are not enough teacher for the amount of students here. There are too many AP classes and not enough non AP classes for students who don't want to take AP classes.

My experience at Memphis East has been nothing short of amazing. It is a place where we call "home away from home".
