MASE's best attribute is how the community is closely connected. I've met some of my very good friends there and we've been very close since our middle school years. You pretty much know everyone that attends the school and you have a face to face relationship with your peers and teachers. One of MASE's worst qualities is the school environment we are placed around. The neighborhood that MASE is in isn't very child-friendly and rough.

During my almost 7 years of attending M.A.S.E I encountered the best school environment that I could have imagined. From the teachers to my peers, I enjoyed every interaction that I made in my time going there. Of course there are changes that need to be made such as remodeling and updating the school environment but for the most part it was great.

If I had to describe this school it would be one word "OPPORTUNITY". They inspire their students in fields you wouldn't think possible in this society and day and age. Great Job!

As an avid supporter of Memphis public schools, let me state for a fact that MASE has just as many behavioral problems, if not more, for a school of its size. In addition, the administration of this school has a history of adopting a "smile-to-your-face/stab-you-in-the-back" attitude toward its facu...

It is time for an overhaul at this school. New ACTIVE leadership, better curriculum, better management of what few funds they do have access to. Much like the majority of the school system in Memphis, the old traditional ways don't work anymore and narrow minded pundits insist on focusing on test-ta...
