GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

One of my favorite parts about Mentor High School is their growing career tech programs. That program gives so many students opportunities to learn valuable skills for the workforce and have real-world experiences before they graduate high school.

Mentor High School needs a complete remodel, including updated technology and air conditioning. My MacBook barely worked by senior year. The school is so big that no one seems to care, including the teachers.

Academically I give MHS a good rating. Both of my students liked the vast selection of courses and extracurriculars to choose from. They enjoyed having electives in their areas of interest. When choosing where to live in Lake County, it seemed to be the best choice.

As a current senior student here, I can honestly say the past several years at this school have been the best of my life so far. Between the friends and memories made in clubs and activities to the supportive staff and challenging curriculum, I do not have a single complaint. Mentor High is the epit...

I just started going here and I would say that the school is okay. It's very good education wise but none of the students try to make new friends. All of them are majorly antisocial outside of their group of friends and it's annoying.
