Anchored near the northern end of the popular Eastmark Great Park in Mesa, Sequoia Pathfinder Academy at Eastmark is a tuition-free public charter school serving children in kindergarten through sixth grade in the East Valley area.
As a school focused on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and mathematics), the academy strives to prepare students for the needs of the 21st century. And to encourage hands-on learning and problem-solving, the curriculum drives students to explore deep learning in subjects with open discussion and integrated digital experiences.
When it comes to performance, academy students test well above the state averages in reading and math, helping the school to rank among the top elementary schools in Arizona. And from kindergarten to fourth grade, students learn English and Spanish through a dual language program where instruction is 50/50 in both languages.
Outside of class, students can gain real-world insights on educational field trips or participate in after-school programs that include karate, chess, theater, or robotics. Plus, more athletic youth can get involved in active sports through a local Skyhawks program.
And throughout the year, the faculty and staff fill the school calendar with movie nights, student plays, fundraisers, holiday concerts, spirit weeks, and other fun events to make every child happy to call Sequoia Pathfinder Academy their school.
