GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

The school is very focused on giving kids the best and most engaging education they can. They encourage college readiness and are very interactive with the students. The low amount of students makes it much better for kids to have a personal connection with teachers and staff members. I love the way most of the teachers go about their teaching, and that they are all very kind people.

BioTECH @ Richmond Heights 9-12 is a small school, that allows for students to form a close-knit community and learn effectively with a small class size. It offers unique research and internship opportunities for upperclassmen with the Miami Zoo and Fairchild Tropical Botanic Gardens. The teachers are hard-working and will always try to accommodate and encourage students in the classroom. The school environment is safe and accepting of minority students like me and my friends. While every school has its pros and cons, BioTECH definitely has more pros, in my opinion.

BioTECH @ Richmond Heights is a very different experience from most high schools. It is a VERY VERY small school, but its a good thing, because everybody sort of knows each other and is really good friends with everyone in their class. The administration runs a tight ship, but they are fair, and have the best interests of the students in mind. Their partnerships with Zoo Miami and Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden give students unique opportunities they could not get anywhere else, receiving fun, top of the line education.
