Evergreen Elementary School opened its doors in 1987 with a focus on creating strong bonds between the school and the community. This school is a part of the Chesterfield County Public School District and serves students from prekindergarten through fifth grade. Starting in kindergarten, every student participates in weekly music instruction, physical education and STEAM topics, including science, technology, art and math. Evergreen’s mission is to provide relevant and purposeful education to students to prepare them for an ever-changing world. During the 1990-1991 school year, Evergreen established the Friendly Helpers program, recognized by the Excellence in Education Award. When I attended Evergreen up to 2018, there have been many up's and down's. Some of the lunch helpers were very rude and wouldn't help certain students. The Teachers were a hit or miss, somewhat average or absolute horrible. Overall, I do recommend this school. It has great PTA staff, great administrators and great counselors.

I love the emphasis on our multi-cultural community. They are being taught love, acceptance, and "ally-ship" which...

Overall an okay school, behind in their knowledge of SPED practices but I suspect this is due to their retention of good teachers. Need more involvement from the staff and willingness to go the extra mile for their students. They need to understand that not every child is the same on the spectrum. T...
