10 years ago this school had challenges. It is a different place now. Students work hard and have fun. Lots of clubs, sports and a strong alternative to IB for those students not interested in highly competitive high stress educations. I graduated in the late 90's. It was okay then. I taught at BV from 2007-2014. It's a victim of the voucher program and white flight. Wisconsin has abandoned MPS and Milwaukee's poorest people. The city is segregated and it directly robs the schools of any chance at success. The teachers and staff d...

During 2011-2012 Very little discipline, but they had rules that didn't make sense. Bathrooms were rarely available. They were locked during passing time, but my son couldn't always get a hall pass during class. Lock downs were common. Certain experienced teachers really did try hard to make class a...
