GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

If your child is average you will have no problem here but if they need any additional services (or if they are gifted) they will struggle. The administration does not seem to deal seriously withissues of intimidation, harassment and bullying. Recess is a poorly supervised free for all and is the time when most of the bullying takes place.

He is currently going to The Marine Academy of Science and Technology. This is a wonderful school with an amazing staff who...

More homework than neighboring Wolf Hill/ Maple Place which is good for preparing our children for the new world economy. I spend time doing homework with my children instead of everybody sitting around watching TV. I...

Some of the teachers are very good, but a couple are too jaded to be teaching children anymore. One in particular should be shown the do...

There are advantages to being in a small school, we all know. The biggest advantage to this school is the caring and completely engaged faculty and administration who act as your child's family in your absence.
