Monticello school district and high schools offers many facilities, clubs, faculty and education for all of its students but the growing community is hard to support. Funding has become an issue with none of the referendums passing, leading to cut sports, teachers and classes.

I've been here for as long as I've been in high school and I seem to like it pretty well. I feel pretty prepared to go to college next year.

Teachers made the school a place I wanted to visit every single day. It felt like most, almost all, wanted to form a connection with their students and have them succeed in and outside of the classroom. I also think Monticello High School is moving in the right direction in terms of culture and diversity even though that is hard with the community of Monticello itself not being very diversified.
