GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I attended Moss Point high for 4 years, the community and partners is so involved with the school. The environment at MPHS is nothing but welcoming and the teachers are actually there to help.

Moss Point high school is deeply rooted in the community an receives a lot of outside support from community members . It is safe to say parents are involved in the school and we have strong relationships with some of the administrators . We are more like a big family but some things we could change are our cafetera staff or what they serve us because the meals are horrible . Not speaking in a negative way just speaking about one thing that could be improved . We could also use more sports and clubs maybe a swimming team would be nice or lacrosse .

The teachers really take a personal interest in each and every student. Their concern about your education is evident. They really have your best interests at heart.

JUST A FYI - BEWARE OF DESTINATION ADDICTION:Someone once told me: A preoccupation with the idea that happiness and success is in the next place, the next job, or the next school. Until you give up the idea that happiness and success is somewhere else, it will never be where your are. Positive think...

Everyone always talk down on Moss Point School District but never put forth the effort to try and build it up. I am an Al...

I went to moss point High and this school is terrible. The teachers do not care, they use bad language around the students, they can't control the kids and they get too friendly with them. Football is all they care about and by the way they don't do so hot anyways, they lose about 95% of their games...

This is school is horrible. They should have shut it down. Some of the teachers do not care about the bullying and misbehaving. They do not teach you well enough if you need help in a subject to them it's like an "oh well" it's mostly a segregated school anyway. They basically pass you if you show u...
