I like how the teachers go out of their way to help you and all of the staff cares a lot about the students. If I could change anything, I would add more classes for life after high school.

I enjoyed making lots of friends and partictipating in athletics. The teachers are very helpful and love talking to students. There is a wide variety of classes to take, so you have the ability to tailor your schedule towards your personal goals and interests. Mount Vernon itself is an extremely welcoming and safe community where anyone can fit in.

Walking into Mount Vernon High School was scary at first, but teachers and staff welcomed me full heartedly. Going to this school, students don't only learn about academics they learned how to be we rounded individuals. The only thing that I would want more of is diversity. I would love to have more minorities at our school. Mount Vernon has such a positive environment, it was such a good high school experience.
