I have attended Oakland high school for 4 years now and will miss being here. I've made lots of new friends and memories and will always remember them fondly. I look forward to my college years at Tennessee Technology Center in Cookville. If I were to change anything it would be class size and portables. The past year Oakland has been expanding the buildings on campus to accommodate the influx of students but it's still a good six months from being completed. Once they are finished it should make class sizes more manageable. Thank you for this opportunity. Ada Hart

I am currently a student at Oakland High School and the best parts about the schools are that they will prepare you for college and the worst is that there are a lot of fights and the administration is do much to nothing to stop bullying.

OHS was an interesting experience. For the first two years I felt intensely connected and enjoyed school. However, as time went on the drain and monotony of the lackluster education was overwhelmingly felt. I was very dissatisfied with my senior year, and felt that the administration could have governed better with student input. The students are not kind and never fail to make one another feel inferior.

If your student if part of the gifted or special Ed programs, this school will be one of their best options. It won a 1 million dollar grant from the Department of Education for it's a gifted program. It's standard program is mediocre. The standard program is what you would expect from most Tennesse...

This school’s staff is terrible. Every teacher I have encountered is rude. The students are rowdy and suffer no consequences when they bully or fight other students. Can’t wait to move out of their zoned area
