Head Middle Magnet School offers a math and science-focused curriculum for over 500 fifth through eighth-grade students. The school provides a challenging academic experience within a safe, nurturing environment that helps students grow socially and emotionally while preparing them for a rigorous high school experience. To make the transition easier, the Tiger Transition Program helps incoming fifth-grade students adjust to middle school through activities that prepare them for success and help them make new friends.
Typical core subjects like physical education, art and music make up the school’s daily class schedule, with the Encore program supporting gifted learners who are looking for more challenging coursework. Students also have the option to begin earning high school credits early on through Honors Algebra I, Physical Science, Spanish and Latin.
School field trips, assemblies, pep rallies and club meetings enhance student life at Head Middle, and a variety of sports teams help them pursue their dreams and goals on the field.

This is an amazing school that offers challenging courses, diversity, and opportunity to all. We would strongly recommend this school to anyone. We had high hopes for this school. Entered in fifth grade. Unfortunately, some of the teachers are downright cruel. The school counsellor is unsupportive. The principal is responsive, but the senior teachers have the upper hand.

Definite disgrace to the image of a good school. Incompetent leadership. Surprised that most of the staff in place at a "magnet school". No follow up or follow thru with admin. If zoned for this school, please look at other options if available.
