GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

It's a pretty nice school for any locals of Delaware that want the high school experience. It is the biggest school in Delaware, and that doesn't mean much considering how small our state is lol. I'd recommend William Penn for every middle schooler unsure of their career choice.

William penn has a wide range of programs and majors for students to choose. And student can also take classes that don't exactly fit their major as well allowing them to explore other career/hobby options. Clubs and sports are very active and are a perfect way to connect with other students and teachers. William Penn is a bit overcrowded and the student to teacher ratio can change depending on what class you take. The school lunch is average but is able to cater to all types of people.

We just moved from another State. All I have received is bad experience. My daughter since Pre-K till now 9th grade has been part of the gifted program, Honor roll, Junior Honor Society, perfect attendance and good behavior since. I was ask for my daughter shot record, after I spoke with both parties, the clinic were my daughter born and be seen till today and actual school. I was told this most be done school to clinic. I went back to the school I wrote a authorization letter let them know the school have my concent to request that document. After 4 weeks my daughter was called to the nurse office to be informed for the next day she will be suspended if I don't show this document. The next day my daughter was suspended how they said, I was called out from my job, my daughter was sat at the main office with her what happened ma' face.... first time that something like this happened to both of us

This school is mediocre at best. The building and facilities are reasonably well maintained. Chromebook computers with WiFi are provided for every student. However, most students seem more interested in play games, texting friends or watching TikTok videos on their phones than paying attention in cl...

Every week theres a fight in this school. Just last week there was s fight where 1 student had drugs on him. Also the new principal removed all program for integration students. No baking, carpentry no nothing. All they do is stuck in a class day!

I would rate this school a negative zero. NO wonder the children are performing below average and Penn is one of the worst schools in the school district. They need to start looking at making changes from the top up. I was told yesterday that when you are good friends or having good relationship wit...

As a senior student attending the University of Delaware I feel that my experiences at William Penn High school were subpar. After graduating from William Penn and transitioning into college I did not feel as though I was adequately prepared for this substantial change. Although I took most honors a...
