I think the hands on aspect was good and possibly the best part of the school. The bad part of the school was that if you wanted to play a sport that isnt rowing or sailing you had to go to the local sending school and play as part of their team.

Great hands on experience and campus, small classes. Two children went through the program both went on to college.

I have been apart of the Sound School community for four years. The people here are so nice and the teachers are very helpful. The school is right on the Long Island Sound and we participate in many on the water activities like sailing or rowing.

Speaking only of their summer sailing program: the sailing instructors are not knowledgeable, the boats are poorly maintained, the lunch provided was in adequate, and one of their junior counselors peed in the boat while my son was in it, convinced them to capsize the boat to clean it, then didn't s...
