GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

This school cannot be in the "college ready" column. It needs better food, better staff, more money, and so much more.

I have attended Dr King Charter School since I was a student in the 5th grade . I am happy to say that I am a graduate of this school. Dr King Charter School was a great experience for me . The teachers are really helpful. The school itself is such a great accomplishment. The students are being able to better there Act scores and further education by the pushing of the faculty members. Dr King Charter has made me the person I am today . Which is a highly educated focused college student that's determined to reach my plans and goals in life . I'm so glad I had the opportunity to attend Dr King Charter School .

The teachers are most interested in each others drama or social life than they are about their students. They find it very interesting to gossip about their students instead of trying to seek help for them. It's sad when students can't go to their teachers now a day and when and if they decide to trust in their teacher their personal business is the talk on the playground. We need teachers who our children can rely on and most of all trust.

There is little if any professionalism inside of the main office. However, the part that truly got to me was ho...
