GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

My expriences here so far have shown me that just because grades of a school are good, does not mean the entire school is thriving. though I love all my classes, the students here are very abrasive for seemingly no reason and it's never really adressed but i do find that my academics do well here

I have been at Frederick Douglass for two years now the school academic wise is really great but other than that it lacks severely in pretty much everything else. They have also prepared me well for college.

Kipp Renaissance is the best high school in the city. I'm glad I transferred. The school is so friendly. There is no drama and we are literally a family. Everyone gets along and it's so easy to make friends.

KIPP Renaissance High School is a great school, the love that the teachers show the children is phenomenal. As a parent with a child who had a learning disability he received all the advantages that the other students were afforded. This is a great learning environment.
