Founded in 2008, KIPP Central City Primary is located at 3127 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd in New Orleans. The school serves children from pre-kindergarten through, grade 5 and is part of the KIPP New Orleans Schools charter network. This organization believes in creating learning environments where every student has the opportunity not just to succeed, but to excel both academically and personally. To prepare their pupils for college and careers, Central City Primary strives to build a sense of belonging and purpose in each child. They want to instill confidence and empathy, and encourage students to make change through their "POWER" values — persistence, owning one’s actions, working together, expecting the best, and taking time to reflect and grow. Central City Primary enrolls more than 900 children, and provides transportation to and from campus on weekdays. Their student-to-teacher ratio is 15-1, and the building is ADA-compliant. A true community school, Central City Primary works to build strong relationships between students and their neighborhoods by having them work on local projects. Such actions are especially meaningful, as many of the students live within a five-mile radius of the school, and will personally benefit from the improvements they work on.

I think this school is a great school to have a child attend. The academics are a great and they also have alot of resources availible.
