Lycée Français de la Nouvelle-Orléans, a public French-immersion school, operates three campuses throughout the Carrollton and West Riverside neighborhoods of Uptown New Orleans. The school’s campuses cater to different grade levels, and the Lower Campus, located at 5951 Patton St., accommodates pre-kindergarten through second grade. Lycée Français requires uniforms for all students, and the average cost ranges from $30 - $39. The school is unique in New Orleans because it teaches its classes in French. In fact, the school teaches a French curriculum which also adheres to Louisiana curriculum standards. The school’s first graduating class in 2023 will receive Louisiana diplomas as well as the French baccalaureate. The school also has partnerships and affiliations with a variety of local businesses and institutions, including the Ogden Southern Museum of Art, the Audubon Institute and various historical sites in the French Quarter. Each of these places is featured in the school’s “Thinking Outside the Classroom” programs. Each year, different grade levels are taken out of the classroom for up to a month and taught outside the school campus. In first grade, the students are taken to Audubon Zoo to learn about the animals and their conservation. In second grade, the Ogden Southern Museum of Art becomes a classroom for the Lycée students, and the children learn about the paintings, sculptures, and artists.

I have gone to this school since i was five and have to say it is OK... While it has proven to have kind teachers who are experienced it has an AWFUL administration. The administration has fired good teachers and made poor choices (for example the cafateria used to have. I have made good friends and memories here but it NOT a good school. 0 out of 10 would not recomend. 👎💔😢

There was always a sub, the education was lacking, and I don't feel safe there. It needs a lot of work there.

LFNO has now joined most other schools in the quest to become a business rather than a place for education. It is no longer a "French" school but rather an Amercanized version of a school that happens to teach French.

The high school doesn't prepare them for college. They only have a few AP courses available and dual enrollment is only for French. There is much prep for ACT either. They fired several beloved teachers and many others left to go to other schools because they were treated unfairly by the administrat...

This school is a free charter school that is French accredited. Students (prekindergarten through twelfth) can attend from anywhere within the state of Louisiana. We love the teachers the most! They truly come from around the state and around the world. This just makes the school even more wonderful...

I am a grandmother of one of the students. I taught school for 30 years, and I am impressed with the curriculum. The teachers are excellent.

100% inclusive, diverse and multicultural educational environment. I mean, kids are learning three languages, with excellent academic score performance, they are doing a good job.
