This school is amazing and I love it here. People who hate on it don't even go to this school and don't understand the lion spirit of CSS. We have spirit and top test scores for public schools in district 5. Send your kids here you wont regret it.

The best part of being a student at columbia secondary school is the opportunities given to you. I was exposed to ruby, classes at columbia, opportunities to shadow at CUMIC. The worst part is being unsupported; in sports as a girl, guys sports are all the rage and get lots of funding, but girls get little to nothing. Being unsupported in your academics, you figure everything out yourself, theres no handholding at all.

Lots of clubs and afterschool support. Feels like school matches age level. Teaches many subjects, some unique, especially unique summer classes. Loving teachers. Kind/average high school students.

My child just finished his first year at CSS. We come from San Diego and the school district in SD determined that my son was gifted. When we moved to NYC, the school he attended did not have the right set of skills to teach children like my son. His fourth grade year was a terrible experience. His...

This school is good for children who thrive in highly competitive, challenging situations. The teachers are dedicated, and the students are ambitious, so you know that your child is in good company here. It is not a good match for children who struggle with time management or need a certain amount o...
