GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

A good school in general. Very collaborative with students from all around the world. If you are an immigrant with limited English, choosing this school will be a good move.

Pro:) - It keeps getting better and better They offer SAT prep They are organizing more and more outings - Broadway shows -Liberty Island Trip -Community services They provide students tutoring of all subjects -especially English, they provide you all sorts of help to improve your pronunciation, writing, grammar, and public speaking skills. - Very friendly and diverse community -Multicultural festival, talent show are highlights of the school Things that they need to kick it up a notch;/ - Homeworks are challenging but useful for college later - There are rarely any club activities in the school - More staff needed for counseling seniors that are graduating - Limited space and facilities like science lab

I like the fact that the students speak different languages that make it feels home and you can learn something new from each other in another language.

It’s a place where you will feel supported and they will do anything they can to help you if you show that you are interested and you are ready to work hard! If English is not your first language, this school is definitely for you!

I've been studying at Emma Lazarus High School for a year! I would say it's the best school I have ever been to! The staff is super kind, every teacher has it's own unique technique of teaching! We all get free lunches and often have trips!
