I'd recommend this school to the kids who don't do well on tests or just don't enjoy taking tests in general. We don't have the same curriculum as other schools, for example: the current sophomores in one of the science classes are learning about physics, and one of the history classes is focusing on economics and immigration. The only major tests that we have to take are the SAT (junior year), PSAT (sophomore year), and English Regents (junior year).

The school does not offer AP classes or any prep for college classes. The administration is passionate but feel they don't put in proper expectations for the kids to ready them for college. No consequences for tardiness, no tracking of if kids don't show up to school to check with a parent as other public high schools in NY offer.

The principal and vice-principal are dedicated to the students and the school. They encourage and facilitate opportunities for parent involvement. The teacher/advisors continue a high-level of communication with students and parents and are committed to the success of their students.
