I love HSMSE. Being on CCNY campus is great because we get to have access to a beautiful campus with places to relax, and we also get to enjoy their facilities (ex: college gym, food hall, etc). Teachers are amazing and its very easy to foster meaningful, personal relationships with them.

This school has been an absolute blast to be in. Everyone's always having fun, especially on the track team (join us). Other than that, the engineering track was extremely interesting and I learned a lot, especially about digital electronics and architecture. I will never forget this school and will definitely come back to visit next year.

My son just graduated from HSMSE. The best school experience he’s ever had. It’s a small, diverse, nurturing community where teachers care and the principal is one of the most caring and dedicated school leaders in NYC. Principal Dolcy has individual relationships with each student and teaches a cla...

This is a small school yet the staff seems to choose a only handful to guide. As a parent you are shut out, yet held accountable for the unorganized, irresponsible staff. It took 6 copies and 11 months for my child to receive credit for his 200+ community service hours. The uneducated staff could no...

High School for Math, Science and Engineering is not as good as I had hoped. The teachers, with the exception of a few good ones, lack compassion. Some act as if it is a bother to actually teach and would rather have the kids learn on their own. The principal doesn't appear to have much control over...

I am the parent of a freshman student. The teachers are all so dedicated and the students are the best. The principal, Crystal Bonds, is one of the most dedicated principals I have ever scene. She makes students her number one priority, and makes the atmosphere and environment a wonderful learning e...
