GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Vanguard High School is an amazing school where I was able to be connected to different kinds of internships, college readiness programs, and college classes at incredible institutions like Stanford University all while still being enrolled in high school.

I'm able to surround myself with adults who have my best interest in mind which helped me become more mature as a person.

Vanguard has such a tight community and is so good at helping students like me get closer to their life goals. I've gotten the chance to take college classes and internships that help me have a clearer picture of what I want my future to be. Super college based and so very helpful in school and outside school.

I am currently a senior at Vanguard High School and I cannot wait to graduate from this exceptionally bad school. The teachers are incredibly lazy and behave atrociously in class. The students are some of the most disrespectful, badly behaved people I have ever encountered. This school does nothing...

The learning environment in this school is great. Every person is allowed to be who they are without being criticized or bullied. The principal (Bill), vice principal (Erica), and most of the staff's first interest is in our children's education and building on what they already know. When my daught...

One of the worst high schools in Manhattan. The security is bad, education is way behind than - everything that my daughter has learned in middle school my son is learning in his second year. It's absolutely horrible. I'm in the process of transferring my son.
