The École is an independent, French-American school designed to cultivate an internationally-minded community of bilingual students. Offering programs spanning from preschool to high school, the school blends the best of both French and American educational systems, with advanced biliteracy, child-centered instruction and an optimistic, multicultural perspective. The main school building, located on 22nd Street between Park and Lexington avenues, houses three floors of classrooms for children in second through eighth grade. The five-story Maternelle building on Fifth Avenue, overlooking Broadway to the west and Madison Square Park to the east, includes eight additional classrooms for École’s younger students. Common rooms are shared by each grade, plus a a fully equipped gymnasium, auditorium, cafeteria and an outdoor playground and garden on the roof, all providing ample opportunities for work, socialization and play. Léman Manhattan Preparatory School and The École will join forces to create a new French bilingual high school program for New York City students. The program is an extension of The École French-American dual language curriculum, which will transition into a bilingual IB diploma program. Students will get the best of both worlds when these elite schools join together for a holistic and culturally rich educational experience.

The Ecole was truly an amazing experience for me, academically, the school is so good and our map tests results are far above average ! The experiences are amazing, from trips all over the world to competitions and choir, it's really impressive. But most of all, the community is great, the school is small, but it doesn't feel like a lot of small classrooms, more like one big class !

The ecole is the best school if you look for a full, real and high-quality bilingual school. you will get the best from each system and your child will be able to have the same quality in his writings in French and English. Very tailored support to each kid with high expectation. Strongly recommend the school if you want your kid to be bilingual in French and English

And finally one last thing that I love about this sc holl are the after schools because they are all really fun.

Phenomenal school. If you have the chance to send your kid here, do it. The depth and breadth of learning starts young, with kids seen as being capable and responsible in the K years.
