NoCo is a great experience. Small class size allows for a more personal approach to teaching. Teachers are approachable and care about your education. College counseling is useful. Sports are strong, but lack of a football team makes homecoming boring.

Norfolk Collegiate is a disappointing school from a variety of lenses. While the school can be quite strong and is perfectly sized, it's a literal mess of an institution with poor leadership. It's been limping along, and teacher turnover is a massive problem. The Head lacks vision and true leadership, and it doesn't seem like the school knows what it is or wants to become. We pulled our child after three years, and I regret keeping her there that long.

I enjoyed being at Norfolk Collegiate because it is a small school so everybody is close to each other and usually gets along. There is a group for everyone at Collegiate despite the lack of diversity among the student body as well as the faculty and staff.

My experience has been nothing but wonderful transitioning into Collegiate. The staff are kind and always open when I have questions asked about what is going on inside the classroom and hallways. Lots of fun and engaging community events for parents to meet others that may be new to the area.

As an Alumni who attended all 12 years and a parent of two kids who have attended since kindergarten (11 and 9 years), we use to love and be heavily involved with this school, however sadly the school has lost its way in the past five years or so and the administration at the upper school is incompe...
