Northfield High School (NHS), serving ninth through twelfth grades, is an International Baccalaureate School. It’s known for offering progressive, challenging, and exciting academic programs. It also offers opportunities for students to participate in athletic programs, extracurricular activities, and electives. Northfield follows the Denver Public School system’s high school graduation requirements. The school’s Career Connect program provides engaging, project-based courses, and experiential learning classes with college credit in business, engineering, computer technology, and biomedical sciences. Through these courses, students attain industry experience, professional skills, and industry certifications. Other programs offered at Northfield High School include arts, technology, gifted and talented courses, world languages, physical fitness, IB Courses, and AP Courses. Counseling is also available for every student that attends Northfield. Whether a student needs academic tutoring, help with scheduling, or filling out a college application, they can find the aid they seek at Northfield High School. Parents and families are always welcome to get involved by volunteering or partaking in the school’s meetings and events. Northfield is an inclusive school, encouraging student creativity, self-awareness, independence, and collaboration among peers with various interests. Here at Northfield High school as a LGBTQ+ student, i feel valued and cared about with my teachers and academics. Peers are very supportive and strive to allow me to be the best i can be, mainly with academics. This response can be represented through all students across the board at this school.

Currently, I am pursuing the IB diploma at Northfield High School. I love the rigor of the courses. In previous years, my teachers have helped me pursue my career goals. I am hoping to create a very competitive college application and I think that Northfield will really help me.

Overall Northfield is a pretty new school that is barley beginning to build their school culture up, but with recent championships and prep rallies I think in a couple years it will be on the same level as East and North high-school as well as others and maintaining a high academic standard

Overall we were very disappointed in Northfield HS and ultimately decided to leave after a year. Feels like they are still managing their rapid growth so a lot of logistical aspects were very disorganized. Kids seem to feel very disassociated from the school and there's little enthusiasm for school...
