The middle school is a decent one. The teachers are wonderful and loving. Having said that, the administration is not terribly helpful to new students or those who need accommodations. The teachers are helpful, but the administration doesn't seem to want to make things easy for anybody. In addition there is zero policing of ipads - kids run amuck and many of them don't do their work in class, they also have no safety filters - which isn't great for 11 year old kids. We were told there used to be filters but it was too expensive to maintain

There is no structure when it comes to student discipline or keeping a safe environment for the students when it comes to bullying, harassment, discrimination, etc. The safety of students highly impacts the academic engagement of a student and with the school turning a blind eye to important matters...

I have three children who have attended multiple schools. Northfield Middle School is, by far, the best school they have attended. The staff is caring and attentive. The administration is top-notch.
