GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I like how professional and friendly the teachers are. As an immigrant, my biggest fear is English. However, the teachers at this school help me realize that English is not that difficult. Everyone can get overcome that. It's true. I hope to see the education change to be more difficult for students. Because I am immigrant, I know that I have to fight for my dream harder than the other. The school will be a big supporter for my success.

I volunteer at this school and it is a great school for the students it serves. The curriculum is designed for students who are recent immigrants (I believe there is a requirement for enrollment based on how recently the student immigrated). They really do a good job focusing the proper attention an...

I'm currently attending OIHS and it is extra-ordinary place for me. I learn what other students in Oakland learns more then 5% in their lifetime. It means the school gives the knowledge and experience that other schools don't have. The school is not only for classes, education about science-math-etc...
