Oakland High is an excellent school for joining clubs and sports. They have expanded a lot after COVID-19 and also brought back the tennis team in 2019. Food is meh, not the best, but it's not completely terrible. The pizza is actually very good.

Amazing school the whole 4 years I have been there everyone has been nice the teachers are nice and their sports are the best out of any other school go wild cats

In terms of safety Oakland in general is not a safe place but I have rarely experienced any sever life-threatening experiences at OHigh except for false threats that were handled pretty appropriately by the administration.
