GreatSchools Rating

GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

There are very few extracurricular opportunities offered

We have an art club, an Interact Club, and during the winter we have a school play. We also have a lot of sports opportunities. Most kids in the school are either all into sports, all into theater, or halfway into both. Sports is a high-commitment undertaking, theater is a medium-level commitment, and art and Interact club are, I believe, low-commitment.

The school nurse has been extremely helpful to me since I was in grade school. Having such a small school, 3rd grade through 12th grade share the same two nurses. You would think this would be a huge problem, but both our nurses are incredible. Not only are they always on the ball about things but they will treat you as if you were their own child.

None of the teachers show authority over the students. Students are allowed to treat other kids horribly, and do as they please with little to no punishment.
