GreatSchools Rating

GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

I would like to say that Lindhurst High School was the best school in the area. We are diverse, although the school had a high population of Hispanic people. There were a lot of Asians and whites along with black people. As for the other high schools in the area, there were more whites than any other race. The only thing I would change about the school is to make it an open campus. Even though the school has a bad reputation, being an open campus would allow us to go get more food as the portions we were fed were not enough.

Lindhurst High is an amazing school and all the staff is very supportive which you don't see that much nowadays. I went to multiple schools before this one, and I have to say the staff in this school is way better than the staff in any other school I've been in. This school encouraged me to join clubs unlike any of the previous schools and it the teachers taught in the class, I feel like this is the first year I've ever actually learned something. Our teachers remind us about college and they try to prepare us for it the best they can.

I cannot say enough good things about this high school! We were so lucky to have found them. They offer great opportunities for students to keep them engaged and advancing. They have a vast array of sports, vocational courses, AP classes, and clubs which allow the students to plug in to things they...

My school isn't nearly as bad as everyone thinks, yeah there's gangs, and fights, but what high school doesn't have that type of stuff? The students here are all amazing, and we treat each other like a family. MHS, YCHS, RVHS, and WHS are no better than us, yeah they have more money and maybe even a...

I've read all of the reviews for this school. What I can say is that the student apathy is real and I have noticed a few teachers who seemed to negate discipline in the classroom. However, the vast majority of the teachers and staff do care for the future of the students they teach. But they can onl...

I've had two children attend this school and graduate. If you want to call it that. The kids don't care about their education and it seems to me that the teachers do not either. I came from the Bay Area where our schools had agreements with the local colleges to accommodate students with a drive to...
