NOVA has been so wonderful for my son. Before NOVA he had such a hard time making friends and finding his people. Academically, he was succeeding but he was not being challenged or having opportunities to grow. We have seen so much change in him already in his 6th grade year. He has really come out of his shell and is so happy when I pick him up everyday. We love NOVA and would highly recommend it for any parents of highly capable children. The only thing I worry about is a lack of diversity. I would like to see a more diverse faculty and student population.

I transferred into the school for 8th grade - my class was already tight-knit, but students were welcoming and I was able to learn in a safe and inviting environment. Teachers were supportive and fostered my learning, I was able to "fit in" and join the community that had already been 'created.' Of course, transferring in for the last year had it's challenges as the program is made to have students attend from 6-8th grade, but I sincerely believe that I was able to have a good experience. 4 stars as I believe that I would have had a different experience had I attended from 6th grade, many of the teachers I admired have since then been let go, and because my memory is not the clearest. There were many enrichment courses to choose from and I felt extremely comfortable with staff and teachers.

My child has had the most amazing experience at NOVA. He comes home every day with a smile on his face bursting with knowledge and excitement. Every teacher is fully committed to the learning experience and truly cares about each and every student
