GreatSchools Rating
The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Some of the air conditioning systems in the classrooms didn't always work, sot here were some classrooms that were on the warmer side, the classrooms that were on the cooler side, and some classrooms were always straight-out cold. One classroom's A.C. got stolen in September which was a total agony since it was almost 100 degrees, but the school accommodated us as best as they could with several fans, and a new A.C. system was installed in less than a month. The school buildings are very tidy, clean, and well-painted. There was seldom any litter because our janitors and THINK together program often picked up trash. As for academic resources: the school had a library with computers, a computer lab, and a mobile cart full of laptops that were almost always accessible. The school had GATE and AVID programs and because of AVID, college tutors were on campus two to three times a week. The guidance counselors would adjust student's schedules by request about every trimester and as quickly as possible if necessary. Parent-teacher meetings were held upon schedule but in the music program, meetings were held every month. I'm really not sure what the busing is like since I never rode the bus except on field trips, but I don't remember buses being late to arrive in the mornings.

It’s absurd that we are forced to provide this school with minimum one star when they are deserving of zero stars. This is by far the worst school I have ever encountered. I come from a Compton District and their schools are 100% better than this school. For one, Administration is a bully to parents...
