Ooltewah High is a historic building that was once revered but has since lost its past glory. It is no longer as refined as it was 20 years ago.

My overall experience at Ooltewah High School as a senior was outstanding! Not was it outstanding for me but I've been there all 4 years and I really got to experience different nature and different realities or people and diversity. I highly recommend any rising freshman's to go there!

I have been at Ooltewah for all 4 years of high school and I have had some very diverse experiences while here. To begin, the school itself is falling apart. I am not just saying that in a sense of "oh my school sucks", I am saying that in a way of we have mold growing in the ceilings, we have had black mold growing in the sinks, we have had roaches, other bugs and rats crawl out of students backpacks when we placed them on the floor. The janitors over the summer and during school have been seen by myself and other athletes just sitting on their phones for hours at a time and not cleaning the floors for weeks at a time. Next, the math department is not very good. I am not saying all the teachers we have here are awful, but I was in all honor and AP classes and I did not learn all of my basic math until we had a good pre cal teacher in 11th grade. She had to teach her whole "smart" class from Alg. 1 until pre cal in one semester. Overall I have had a decent experience here.

Honestly this school might not be the best in the world, but its not nearly as bad as it’s made out to be. All that is needed to do good at this school is apply yourself. The teachers do a great job, and I have been able to maintain a Grade average of 98.9 and get A’s on finals in APs. All you have...

Nothing positive has ever came out of this school for us. This school is constantly in the news for lacking regard for the students welfare and they continue to show that on a daily basis. Very few students and staff care at this school. It just sucks the good ones into a deep dark black hole. It is...
