This school is in a great area and has a very diverse environment, and offers many programs that lead to college readiness and credit. The sports facilities are of high quality with many successes in different sports. This is a magnet school with an international studies program and a performing arts program. The Music program on its own is very successful, gaining top marks every year. The same can be found in many of the other performing magnets.

After attending Dr. Phillips High School for the first two years, and now attending another nearby high school, the culture difference is very prominent. Dr. Phillips no where near prepared me for college readiness considering the number of students who attend, as well as the lack of educational resources and facilities as it feels as if teachers weren't always full engaged in teaching.

My experience at Dr. Philips so far has been good, the teachers listen to you when asking for help they offer amazing tutoring services. Extracurriculars here are amazing and apply to the real world depending on which one you choose, the magnet programs allow you to have a pre-picked set of classes that apply to what you want to do when you go to college.

Horrible. I pulled my oldest out during covid when she didn’t have a chemistry teacher for 3 weeks. Now it’s pretty normal for them to not have teachers for classes. Kids have had several geometry teachers in 1 yr, no teacher yet for Spanish or French. The new principal has a lot of work ahead of he...

These reviews seems skewed as most of them are old, written by students, or written by someone who had a bad experience. My child goes to DPHS, and I can't speak for the normal class experience as my child is in the Autism Exceptional Student Education program. So far we've had nothing but positive...

My girls took their SAT, PSAT, ACT, and AP tests there. They could hear the roller coaster noise/screams from Universal. At the time, they wished they were having fun at Universal instead of taking important tests.
