Park Central combines condos, dining and high-end retail

Park Central is a collection of apartment and condo complexes near the upmarket Mall at Millenia. This area is close to Orange County’s theme parks and tourism district, and the communities in Park Central capture a resort-like atmosphere thanks to their swimming pools and waterfront views. Due to the proximity to the mall and Interstate 4, both frequently used by tourists, restaurants and big-box stores fill the neighborhood, so daily shopping runs, sit-down dinners and afternoons browsing luxury stores are all a short drive away.

Michelin-recognized dining at Isan Zaap and luxury shopping at Mall at

Big-box stores and restaurants serving cuisines from around the world tend to concentrate along Millenia Boulevard, Conroy Road and John Young Parkway, three of the roads running through Park Central. You don’t have to leave the neighborhood to grab a bite at:

  • Isan Zaap Thai Cafe, a Michelin Guide-recognized restaurant specializing in northeastern Thai recipes
  • Kalalou Bar and Grill, a sit-down restaurant serving Caribbean dishes
  • The Licking, a soul food restaurant co-owned by music producer DJ Khaled
Shopping centers cover the northwest side of the neighborhood, where Costco, Target and The Home Depot are all within a mile of each other. Park Central is next to The Mall at Millenia, where Orlando residents and tourists both flock to shop high-end retail brands, including Chanel, Gucci and Louis Vuitton. For a cheaper shopping trip, head to Orlando International Premium Outlets, about 4 miles away.

Gated condos communities with pools

Apartment and condo communities dominate the neighborhood streetscapes. Past their gated entrances, most of these complexes are made up of low- and mid-rise buildings with on-site parking, built alongside swimming pools and tennis courts. Condos usually sell from the lower $80,000s to the mid-$200,000s, and most homeowners also pay monthly homeowners associate dues. These fees, which typically vary from $200 to $700, may cover the cost of landscaping, high-speed internet and amenities, such as swimming pools.

Lakefront parks to the north and east

Spend an afternoon on the waterfront at Clear Lake Park, just north of the neighborhood. The park’s walkways pass a picnic pavilion and fitness stations before connecting to a boardwalk that leads to a fishing pier jutting out over the lake. To the east of Park Central, Cypress Grove Park spans a stretch of Lake Jessamine’s shoreline. The northern end of the park consists of an open field dotted with sand volleyball courts and a dog park, while, on the south side, a playground neighbors Cypress Grove Estate, a lakefront 1920s home that frequently hosts weddings.
